I have heard so many great things about this particular foundation, I personally didn't know much about it apart from how skin like it was apparently meant to be but I obviously pounced at the opportunity of getting a sample. By the way I managed to get these Sephora samples a little while back through a family member who went on holiday and I just requested some samples as well as the full size of my Nars All Day Luminous Foundation and the Radiant Creamy Concealer in Caramel which you've seen in my insta posts and motds. So anyway, I kinda went in to trying this foundation out completely unaware of what to expect so my findings have been quite interesting.

I was sent this product to review a little while ago. I've been using it for a good few weeks now and am ready to share my thoughts.

Skin type
I have a dehydrated combination skin type, it's a proper mix of skin types and for a long while I thought I was dry but it turned out that in fact I was just very dehydrated. I only ever get oily when I get warm or if the weather has been fairly hot. But generally my skin starts to feel a bit tight if I don't moisturise straight after I've washed my face. I classify myself as a moisture junkie and am always on the hunt for moisturiser formulas that work with my fussy difficult skin type, something that intensely hydrates but feels light on the skin. I've been layering moisture for a very long time now, I like to apply a few drops of oil and then seal and top it off with a moisturiser and this way my skin stays pretty satisfied. So I was very keen to try this Argan Oil Serum out when Terraprime contacted me as I knew I'd definitely be able to use it and my skin would benefit from it.

What it is

This product is an Argan Oil Serum, it's not a 100% Argan Oil product but the Argan Oil used inside it is Triple Virgin and Organic. As you may already know Argan Oil is rich in the antioxidant Vitamin E and also has Fatty Acids so it's good for moisture, nourishment and healing. The other ingredients used in this are: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone; (which are Silicones mostly used in serums for slip and good absorbency.) Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil (Organic Argan Oil), Linseed extract; (which is a emollient plant extract), Parfum, CI26100, CI47000 (which are colourants). So as you can see there isn't a whole bunch of unnecessary ingredients here that can majorly dilute the Argan Oil too much. Now I'm not sure the ratio of the ingredients so I'm not sure how much Argan Oil there actually is in this. But I did contact them and ask about the purpose of the other ingredients and whether it would affect the efficacy of the Argan Oil and they said that the silicone ingredients were thoughtfully added to aid the absorbency of the oil and to make sure it didn't leave a greasy residue on the skin or hair. Like many other oils this can be used as a multi use product for your hair, skin or nails.

Packaging

It came presentably packed in a cardboard box mimicking the gold brown theme of the actual bottle, which is actually dark amber in colour and made out of thick glass to protect the Argan Oil from sunlight and other damaging environmental factors. If you know your oils you'd know some/most 100% Virgin oils come in coloured or dark amber glass bottles to protect the contents and that supposedly any other type of packaging could presume that the contents aren't actually as quality or effective as advertised. 

The packaging and design is lovely for this, it's sturdy, heavy and quality. Funnily enough it does mimic the design of the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum. This isn't the first time a company has done this but it's surprising because the packaging quality for this is actually nicer because the Estée Lauder ANR is mostly plastic. The pump is also really good and sturdy. It's controllable and doesn't dispense a ton of product. All in all I don't have any qualms over the packing and am actually impressed.

Consistency / texture

The Terra Prime Argan Oil has a wonderful fluid, silky, serum like consistency which is most likely because of the silicones used in the ingredients. This is probably what makes this product so wonderfully absorbent. When applied on the skin it smooths and spreads over effortlessly. You can also feel the oil in this as expected, the texture is thicker than an oil and light like a serum. It doesn't ball up and I find this layers PERFECTLY with the rest of my routine/products. It doesn't interfere at all, that's how well absorbent it is! If you've tried the Paula's Choice Antioxidant Serums, this is actually very similar in texture and consistency. A little goes a long way, I use 2 pumps and it covers my entire face pretty generously, considering it's a 100ml bottle I can tell this is going to last me ages!

Feel / Finish

When applied on the skin it feels really serum like but emollient like an oil too, it's very silky to the touch. It leaves such a pretty radiant sheen on the face, not like an oil which can sometimes look greasy but definitely something in between a serum and an oil. I like to massage it in to my skin for half a minute or so. At first you may think it's not going to absorb and will just sit on the face along with its sheen but give it a few minutes (up to 5) and your skin will drink it up and leave hardly any sheen or any oily greasy feel. I was very surprised when I first used this as I had used 2 pumps and it was as if I hadn't used any product on my face at all. Before it actually fully absorbs into the skin, there is an ever so slight tackiness but this too disappears. I love how soft, supple and smooth it makes my skin feel without feeling or seeing any product on the skin whatsoever.

This can also be used for the hair. Now I'm not a hair maintenance type of girl, luckily my hair doesn't need too much care or pampering, but I do like to use a little bit of oil through the lengths of my hair before I blow dry it to keep it from drying out or getting frizzy and this works perfectly for that. Where moist oils can leave residue and leave a definite weight to my just washed hair this one hardly leaves any! Even when I don't blow dry my hair I do like to use a pump or two through the lengths of my hair if it's feeling a little too dry for my liking and this makes it look and feel smoother without any added weight or grease. Again it's brilliant absorbency is credited to the silicones in the ingredients so you know they have been thoughtfully added.

Colour / Smell

It's a pale golden amber colour which doesn't transfer on to the skin. On application you'll definitely notice that it has a pleasant soft musky scent, I find it really comforting and actually wouldn't mind owning a perfume like this haha! Argan Oil naturally smells a little nutty which some don't enjoy but you can't smell it in this product at all.

I'm not sure how people with sensitive skin will feel about the perfume used in the product, as the scent doesn't really disappear, it's not unbearably strong at all but it most certainly lingers for a while. This is a nice added touch for the hair but maybe not so good for the skin. I haven't had any adverse reactions from the smell but I don't have sensitive skin in particular so I couldn't really comment.

Overall Thoughts
I have loved incorporating this into my skincare routine both day and night. It moisturises my skin wonderfully and I adore how well it absorbs leaving absolutely no residue or oily sheen, I can continue using the rest of my products and I know it won't disrupt them at all. This hasn't irritated my skin nor has it broken me out. It also works nicely as skin prep for my makeup bases, again because it doesn't interfere with the products and I do get some hydration from it which my skin definitely yearns for especially when it comes to foundation. This isn't a miracle product but it's definitely good at what it does and I do recommend it, I can guarantee that you'll love the texture and absorbency of this just as much as I do! I managed to get hold of a sample of Nars most recent base release, the Velvet Matte Skin Tint in the shade St. Moritz. If you know me you know I'm not one to go for matte bases, but since this was Nars I really wanted to give it a try as a lot of people were raving about it and I'm a base addict so I didn't need much encouragement anyway. LOL!

What Nars say:

Shade

The shade St. Moritz (Medium 1 - Medium with Neutral Yellow undertone) came up as the most common shade for my skin tone. I have the Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser (PRTM) in St. Moritz too (watch this space for review) and it's a warm peachy yellow shade, this type of warm shade flatters my skin nicely even though it's not got much olive in it. I find the Velvet Matte Skin Tint (VMST) St. Moritz is lighter and less warm than the St. Moritz of the PRTM. VMST St. Moritz is a decent match for the paler parts of my face, but around my mouth it is way too light and colour correcting with orange concealer only helps a little, I've also got a bit of a tan going at the moment but for the past few months my pigmentation areas seem to have gotten darker so I've been preferring more deeper golden shades of foundations/concealers to balance out the different tones of my face and to avoid any ashiness, I absolutely hate looking ashy! To make VMST St. Moritz work for me I've been using their Radiant Creamy Concealer in Caramel around my mouth and under eyes to bring back more warmth back into my skin and it works a treat.

I do want to try some of the darker shades, though after looking through the shade range, Malaga (Med/Dark 1 - Medium dark with warm caramel undertones) is the next shade that isn't described as having peach undertones but is 4 shades later, I have a feeling I might be a Cuba but annoyingly enough most of the shades are described as being neutral and I am not neutral! I'm proper golden yellow olive toned and it's very difficult finding matches that have a good balance of both. I'm slightly dubious so I do need to go in store and swatch and try them in person even though the closest Nars counter to me is either Space.NK or House Of Fraser in Milton Keynes. I'll have to wait and see I guess. If you're around an NC40 or NC42 let me know what you wear in this range.

Texture

The texture of VMST is thick and creamy it has a slight velvety moussey feel to it when rubbed between my fingers and you can sort of feel the powder particles. I have this in a sample pot and it doesn't budge or slide around at all when I move it about so it's very thick, pretty much what you'd expect from a velvet matte foundation. Since I have combination / very dehydrated skin with skin texture / bumps I was very careful of how I applied this and made sure adequate skin prep was done beforehand and that I didn't overdo it. I have used brushes and sponges in applying this as well as my fingers. I used my dense angled flat kabuki (H&M BB Cream Brush) and it was okay, although I did have to work a little extra in moving it around and felt I was using too much product than necessary and ended up a bit cake face and not natural at all. I've used sponges and again felt like I was using too much product and found that the damp sponge wasn't pushing this into my skin properly so I wasn't getting a "skin-like finish" as many were claiming it to be and was looking a little patchy, plus it wasn't as pore filling as I had expected it to be.

I was ready to give up on the VMST thinking it wasn't for me or my skin-type but I persevered, I mean we were in the middle of a heatwave the week I was trialling this out and I was the oiliest ever at that time so I couldn't understand why this matte foundation / tinted moisturiser wouldn't work for me? I watched and read a good few reviews and many people said they got a better finish when they used their fingers and that a little bit actually went a long way. It's also recommended on the Nars website to use your fingers so I done as suggested and I definitely got that skin like, pore blurring, natural, velvet matte finish. I definitely recommend using a little and blending in with your fingers. That's when I realised how long that sample pot was going to last me, definitely worth your buck!

Feel

Like I mentioned earlier the VMST is a very thick velvety textured formula, when applying a light layer on the skin with my fingers I can get a lightweight feel. But this is very dependable on how much you apply. I wouldn't say this is a super lightweight formula, in fact there're many other formulas out there that feel lighter. But how much you use and the layers of product you have on underneath determines the weight of this on the skin, I find I feel the heaviness and thickness of the formula on my skin when I have more than one layer of it on especially if I have a fair amount of moisturiser on underneath too. Just to give you an example, on a moderately warm day like today (27 degrees celsius) half a teaspoon of my Boots Dry Touch SPF 30 sunscreen underneath (which is a bit creamy in texture and moisturising enough for me to wear on its' own in this weather) and a single thin layer of this on my skin gives me a somewhat lightweight feel, anything more and I would definitely feel the thickness. I've also tried this on bare skin and it was practically undetectable in feel. So the more emollient your base the more creamier and heavier it can feel.

When I used to apply it with my brush or sponge, because I was applying too much product, it proper felt like a heavy thick mask on my skin which really surprised me as the website description as well as other reviewers were saying the complete opposite. I definitely think application method with this foundation / tinted moisturiser can be a real game changer for people so I definitely suggest trialling with it. 

I personally think this formula is ideal for combination to oily skin types and maybe slightly dry. Since I used this on very hot days, I felt this worked pretty good for me and I was able to powder as well since the weather was that hot and I was getting quite oily through the day. I don't find this overly drying even though it's a matte formula, though I'm not sure how much I will like this in the cooler months when I'm not as oily, I'd like to think using a decent moisturiser for those cooler days will do me fine. I'll definitely put an update up later on in the year. For those with dry dehydrated skin with dry flakes or lots of texture, beware of your dry areas, be generous with your moisturiser and build it up with small amounts or maybe skip this foundation all together and try their other tinted moisturiser.

Finish

The VMST has a skin like matte finish on my skin type and I can get it to look invisible depending on how much I apply, if I'm generously moisturised then it'll be a satin finish. It's not a flat matte but I know it can easily look like a flat matte if I'm not adequately moisturised or if I use too much product, especially on my dehydrated areas which is my mouth area and forehead. Like I mentioned before I find when I use my fingers I get that pore blurring, skin like finish compared to when I use a brush or a sponge. This can catch on dry flakes and texture pretty bad if you have any, I've found it sort of nestles in and around any flakes I may have but this is when I'm looking really up close into the mirror so it's not utterly hideous or anything. I also find it settles in to my laugh lines a little bit but this is an issue I've been having to deal with for the past few months with most of my bases (I'm getting old!!!) though I find using Soap & Glory Kick Ass Powder helps with that. I don't find this overly skin smoothing on me (like Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation) but it doesn't exaggerate my textured areas hideously either, again some Kick Ass powder or any pore filling finely milled powder will do the trick.

Since it's a mattifying product it will only give that invisible skin like finish depending on the moisture level of your skin. More moisture means a less matte finish and a creamy satin finish, but be careful too much moisture means a slippey slidey slick of a mess, trust me I've tried, just trial and see what ratio works best for you. I wouldn't say this is my favourite base formula but between the other matte foundations that I've tried (Bourjois Air Mat and Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless) this is definitely my fave and definitely more forgiving.

Coverage

All in all I prefer using my fingers and get medium coverage this way and a more even skin tone using very little product, this is more than enough coverage for me. It's impressive for something that's meant to be a tinted moisturiser. I have some light post acne marks dotted in a couple of places and hyper-pigmentation around my mouth and some darkness under my eyes. I personally don't like full coverage or that mask like finish as my skin doesn't sit well with it. But I've realised many sheer or medium coverage bases don't work well for my hyper-pigmented areas so I'll never really get a discrete undetectable look with foundations as the ashiness of my pigmentation and skin texture issues will most likely give it away, so I have had to settle with that fact. That is why I like to come in between and use medium coverage products and then use some concealer in my trouble areas for extra coverage if I need it. I think this is definitely medium coverage, possibly even full depending on your skin condition and how much you apply but can also be sheered out to light as well. 

Build-ability

I find the VMST does build layers okay-ish but not brilliantly, with a brush or sponge it gets cakey and patchy easily and ends up looking like obvious layers on my skin. I like to use my fingers if I want to build layers, I use the pads of the 3 middle fingers and sort of swipe in short swift movements and pat at the same time and like this it does sink in and I do get more coverage. Though it's strange as sometimes this does get patchy and does shift product away from my pores leaving them empty-ish again and also sort of sits in and outside of the pores. I can't quite put my finger on why but I think it's got something to do with the emollience level of the skin. The patchiness is really only visible when I'm looking really closely in to the mirror, from a foot away the skin does look blurred and perfected enough but I don't find it super pore filling if it's built up. Though overall I prefer just a single layer of this on myself and prefer the finish this way.

Longevity

The weather really determines this, Britain has been having some really sunny days here and there recently and some days it gets quite warm! For those very hot days when I've used the VMST I found only copious amounts of powder kept my makeup in place as I was getting an oily sheen on my skin within the hour, in fact some days beads of sweat would erupt from my face whilst I was applying it but I would intentionally choose this particular base for those days since it is a mattifying product. For normal mild British weather I think this will be fine on its' own and maybe a couple of hours into wearing the product I may need to powder my t-zone. Again I'll have to see when the weather cools down a little. For my combination dehydrated skin type I can imagine this holding up pretty well as sometimes I find this can really sink into my skin and be quite transfer resistant as well, though this depends on how oily or emollient my skin is, otherwise it can slip off quite easily if I'm not powdered enough.

Oxidisation
Luckily I haven't noticed too much oxidisation with this, I think it does a teeny tiny bit when my oils start coming out but it's definitely not a horrid colour. I still want to look into the deeper golden shades but for now this is fine.

Overall
Personally I found I had quite successful trial and errors with the VMST. Reading and watching reviews on it definitely helped me realise how to get the best of this product for myself. I recommend treating this product like a tinted moisturiser to get the best out of it instead of a full coverage foundation. A little really goes a long way and you'll be surprised how well this can actually behave. As the name suggests, I'd say it looks like a tint on the skin but with decent medium coverage. It's definitely a better matte formula for me than the previous two matte formulas I've reviewed but I personally find high end products are developed better than most drugstore products and have better technology which ultimately gives you a quality product as well as great results. Or it could just be my fussy skin that prefers higher ended stuff hah! This has an SPF of 30, though I don't recommend relying on this solely for protection, definitely use a sunscreen under this as you wouldn't even apply a quarter of how much sunscreen you need with this product. This also has a faint but definite scent to it, almost fresh and citrusy but not detectable once on the skin.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams ( Previous post-MY NYX LIPSTICK COLLECTION AND SWATCHES)

I have the shades: Stockholm: Which is a pale peachy nude, I was obsessed with this shade before I bought it but was a bit disappointed because it was too light and bright for my complexion, especially my top lip, it didn't look anything like the way I saw it on others. I like pairing this with a lip liner and much prefer it like this.

Colourpop

The Suede Creams are much thinner and liquidy in consistency than the Soft Matte Lip Creams, pigmented yet feel soft and comfortable on the lips, though I find they take quite a while to dry down completely. Like the name suggests it's a suede like finish and feel on the lips. Once dry they do last a while. The formula is actually really really good but it's because they take so long to dry why they've been pushed this far down in my list plus they have the least exciting range of shades in my opinion, I think if they had more wearable shades then I would have liked them more, the shades they have are more suitable for those who like wacky vibrant shades and that's just not my cup of tea.

I have the shade: Soft Spoken: It's another "Lolita dupe" type of shade (Mauvey pink). If you own this you don't need to own Rome or vice versa. 

NYX Liquid Lingerie

So many of us have been waiting patiently for the Matte & Poreless to arrive on our British shores. Our drugstore shelves were fully stocked around the end of April and many didn't think twice to pick up this incredibly affordable and highly praised foundation, at £6 you really couldn't do any harm! I wasn't in a rush to pick it up, I was curious yes but I knew it wasn't going anywhere anytime soon, though I ended up picking it up only because I had to spend an extra £6 to reach my coupon threshold, so I suppose it was written! 

I've been testing it out and trialling with it non-stop, trying to figure out how I feel about it, I hate to say this but I must be the only person that doesn't love the Matte & Poreless. I don't think it agrees with my skin at all, I can't quite put my finger on why, believe me I've tried, I've tried all sorts of techniques but it simply doesn't look good on my skin.

Shade

I picked up the shade 220 Natural Beige which is what I wear in the Original Fit Me, I think they are almost the same though the Matte version is slightly warmer. I've included swatches so you can see for yourself. I do like the initial shade this is on me but it oxidises like it's predecessor and I'm not keen on the oxidation colour, it looks really ashy on me, it's a bit confusing, I can't tell if it becomes too light for my skin or too dark. But I can definitely say the undertone becomes really off! *See Update Below

I wouldn't mind trying the other shades but as usual we have limited shades here in the UK, being given the option of choosing from a measly 6 shades on the Boots website and maybe 4 in the actual stores... Not one of those shades are suitable for anyone who is darker than me (around nc35 - nc40), this annoys me so much so I can't begin to imagine how annoyed my brown girls actually are! However Superdrug's have 12 shades available on their website with a few dark/deep shades too and strangely it's a mixture of the UK plastic squeezy tubes and the original glass rectangular bottles that we usually associate with the Fit Me Foundation. In-store they have around 3-5 shades depending on the branch, Superdrug really surprise me sometimes, do you find that as well?

Texture

For a foundation that's meant to be matte, this is quite a liquidy formula. You can proper shake the bottle and hear the liquid move swiftly like a liquid would. It's almost the same viscosity as the original Fit Me. Depending on how much you apply it'll run down your hand slowly. It feels quite emollient to the touch but obviously not as emollient as the Original. I've used my favourite H&M BB Cream Brush (review here) with this and it works fine. I find it works nicely with the brush as it pushes and blends the product in well. I've also used a beauty blender and it works fine too, it just absorbs a bit of product. In my trials I've also used my fingers, I used a lot less product than usual and got a much more natural and better finish but it was quite light coverage.

Feel

Being quite liquidy in texture this feels really light on the skin. It does set and sink into the skin nicely, for a matte it's very lightweight and reminds me a lot of the Bourjois Air Matte Foundation (review HERE). They both do very similar things. I have combination dehydrated skin, my cheeks are the most "normal" of areas on my face, my forehead and mouth area seem to be the most dry and dehydrated so I get to judge foundations with my different skin conditions. I think this is definitely excellent for normal to oily skin types, maybe slightly dry too. If you're normal then you'll love this, slightly oily then this'll be a very natural and comfortable wear for you, slightly dry you can easily skip the powder but should definitely stay wary.

Finish

On my combination dehydrated skin type this seems to have semi matte finish, it's not a flat matte but can easily look flat on me if I'm not adequately moisturised or if I've used too much. I also find this gives the skin an ever so slight blurring appearance like the Bourjois Air Mat foundation and also can make the skin look rather smooth once it has settled after a few hours. Around my mouth and even on my forehead where I'm dehydrated this looks quite dry and ashy and it sinks in to my lines, I think this is one of the main reasons that stops me from enjoying this foundation, I don't think this foundation looks good on my skin at all. This also claims to be a "poreless" foundation but it's not as pore filling as I was expecting, the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation (review here) is what I'd call a magic pore filling, skin smoothing foundation or the Urban Decay One & Done (review here). I also find this looks cakey and drying in my dry areas and obviously any texture on my face is accentuated too so ultimately dry textured people might want to skip this foundation.

When I use very minimal product using a brush or fingers, I can actually get quite an undetectable and natural finish and the colour or oxidation isn't bad at all, it doesn't have enough yellow in it so I feel as if my skin looks a little drained of colour but it actually doesn't look half bad. But doing it this way means I don't get the coverage I want and as soon as I start to build more coverage it starts to look really ashy. This foundation just isn't practical for me unfortunately. *See Update Below

Coverage

The Fit Me Matte & Poreless will give you a medium coverage, maybe a full depending on your skin conditions. I can probably build this up to a full, I have some light marks and redness that cover easily. But anyone with more imperfections might find they need some concealer. Around my mouth where I have discolouration and need to use an orange corrector I find that I need to use a lot more of the foundation than usual or it doesn't conceal the hyperpigmentation well and looks quite ashy but because I'm dehydrated there and this foundation is quite unforgiving for my dehydrated skin it makes me look really cakey and gross, I can't build this up to a full coverage on my skin type. Again this was my exact problem with the Bourjois Air Mat foundation, this has the potential of making my textured areas look a lot worse very easily. *See Update Below

Build-ability

You can build this up nicely, it blends easily and sinks in effortlessly, this does have a dry down/setting factor to it but doesn't really get too patchy but it will catch and can get cakey (on me), working on well moisturised/primed skin makes this glide on really nicely but I would suggest you apply one section at a time as this sets and melts into the moisture on your skin, again very very very similar to the Bourjois Air Mat. *See Update Below

Oxidation

This like the original Fit Me oxidises, although with the original I see it oxidise as soon as it hits my skin haha where as this one takes its time. Unlike the Bourjois this doesn't oxidise into a flattering shade, because the Air Mat has proper yellow undertones and was much lighter than my skin it oxidised to a deeper sunnier yellow, this just looks plain ashy on me. I do wish neither of the Fit Me's would oxidise, it's not like us Brits are blessed with a myriad of shades and can go down or up a shade! Mind you I think I have quite oxidisation prone skin so it might just be me or the ph of my skin. *See Update Below

Longevity

Being a semi/demi matte foundation this lasts pretty well on my combo dehrydrated skin. I don't feel the need to powder sometimes, after a while the foundation seems to melt in a bit more and it does look nicer. I may powder a few hours after wearing it but definitely don't feel the need to at the beginning. 

Overall Thoughts

I really wanted to love this foundation, really really! So many people adore this and I really thought I'd adore it too, I was half hoping it would fill the gaps the original Fit Me left but it seems both foundations are just too much hard work for my weird fussy skin. I'd like to say I've tried almost everything to make it work but I feel this is just not for dry textured skin types and it's way too ashy for my liking, I suppose it's not too bad a fail as this was only £6! P.S. This has an alcohol kind of smell, unlike the original Fit Me which has a definite scent.

*UPDATE 16/08/16* : Even though I didn't have such amazing experiences with the Fit Me Matte & Poreless, part of me refused to give up on it, I insisted on giving it more go's because I refused to believe I was the only one that disliked it so. I have tried it out again since writing this review and.... I like it, it's okay, I see it, I see why people like it as much as they do. The problems that I was having with it mainly were how dehydrating I found it and how it seemed to exaggerate my textured areas and also the ashiness around my problem areas.

All of these issues have gone down a few notches on me at the moment and I think it's the current weather that's doing this. Even though we're pretty much in the middle of summer here in England, some days I have had to put the heating on as well as cozy up in a chunky cardigan and some wooly boots, yes it got that cold! Currently we are having some warm weather and I've been needing less moisture than usual on my skin. I put this on today and well, it looked so much better! It wasn't emphasising my textured dehydrated areas hideously, the ashiness was hardly there and it looked like a decent enough match,  I really liked the way it looked. It was smooth-ish and looked like a natural matte and I quite liked the warm olive beige colour it was on me. Instead of colour correcting I put a few dabs of Nars RCC in Caramel in the usual areas and it's worked a treat.

Don't get me wrong I still don't think it's the most forgiving of formulas for dehydrated textured skin and I do have foundations that look a lot better on me but I just didn't want to see this foundation in such a negative light. It's obvious that my much oilier skin is liking this foundation a lot more now and the better lighting is somehow showing me that it's a very decent match, it's definitely sitting better on my skin now that I'm a bit more oily so I'll have to reserve this foundation for the warmer days! I feel slightly relieved now that I'm liking it a bit more and that it can keep its place in my collection, gosh so much drama over a foundation haha! Anyway so that was my little update that I wanted to share with you incase I put any of you guys off. Hope it was helpful, if you've had any similar experiences please share them with me. Toodles!
