Assalaamualaykum everyone! Peace to you all! The weather in ye old Britain is brilliant today! Just perfect! So so lovely! The cold really overstayed its welcome didn't it?

Im going to review Rimmel's Kate Moss Lipstick in shade number 08 for you. First off I think the quality for these lipsticks are quite good for Rimmels standards, they've really upped their game with many of their products! I've never been fond of Rimmel but I'm getting impressed. Its a very creamy lipstick and has rather enough pigmentation in it. It also has a nice smell but this may not be good for those who don/t like scents in their cosmetics.

I also like the packaging, its quite sturdy and not plasticky. I think its quite sleek with the all black tube, with Kate Moss' signature in red and an engraved Rimmel London Crown on the top. I believe that the lid is magnetic also. So quite impressive!

It covers the hyperpigmentation on my lips just enough. It has a satin-y finish, also a little glossy which makes your lips look fuller and smoother. It has decent staying power, around 2-3 hours without eating or drinking. Id say its quite a good formula.

To describe the colour, its a nice dusky yet rosey pink. Very girly and very flattering. It goes well with my nc40 skin and I think people that are lighter than me will look so lovely and cute with this lip colour, its perfect for summer. And because of how pigmented it is darker skintones can pull this off nice as well! I just get away with wearing this lip colour without foundation on my skin. It can look a bit bright and light without any foundation but it looks much nicer when I do have foundation on, it seems to blend in seamlessly with my skintone and flatters it nicely.

Since it is a drugstore brand it obviously doesn't beat brands such as Mac, so I think a lip liner underneath this lipstick will help it last a lot longer, as it does have that drugstore creamy slidey quality to it.

Overall I am impressed with this lipstick, as I've never thought highly of Rimmels products, I have had Rimmel lipsticks in the past and not liked the formula at all but like I said they've really upped their game, pretty much the way the rest of the drugstore brands have done also. I do recommend this for tanned skintones. Hope this was helpful! Laters! Xx

Hey guys, peace to you all. I'll be doing yet another lipstick review for you guys. It's No7's moisture drench lipstick in Shiny Conker.

The packaging is No7's simple, slightly classical looking black tube. Its made from plastic and the lid for my lipstick has a crack in it so it comes off rather easily. Tiny bit tacky, but it's the inside product we're interested in right?

To describe the colour, I'd say it's a bricky browny red with a little coral in it, or a proper terracotta colour. It's quite a strong and pigmented lipstick, and I should say the quality of this lipstick is very good. Which is what we expect from No7 products since they're so overpriced?!? The longevity depends on how much is applied and what techniques were used. Since it's a moisturising lipstick, too much product use will cause smudging and it will slide around and transfer very easily. But I've noticed from using, it's quite pigmented, just one layer is fine.

On my nc35 nc40  nc42 skin it is a bricky red. It's a bright lipstick colour but once its applied onto the lips (just one layer) it doesn't look crazy bright but quite muted. I think it's the brown in the lipstick which helps tone it down.

I don't wear the full works of makeup most days. And those days where I just want (need) some colour on my lips I find myself grabbing this quite often. I really really really love this lipstick, it's such a great everyday colour for me. I have actually hidden it away in the past because I end up picking that one so often. I actually don't use a lot of it, all I do is tap it gently on both my lips and it deposits just a tint of the lipstick on my lips making it look ever so natural, like it's the natural flush of my lips. Honestly there is something about this shade that really brightens up my complexion. It literally makes me look so wide awake and fresh. Which is why I like grabbing this one on my no makeup days. Just the use of this lipstick makes me look so reasonably decent even though I don't have another speck of makeup on. And as I mentioned in 'my love for lipsticks post' my lips can be quite pale and dull but once there is some colour on my lips my whole face just brightens up like I've had a facial! I don't feel the need for any other makeup on my face but just a little lipstick just does wonders for my face. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the first lipstick I use up.

In my opinion this is such a versatile colour I think any skintone can wear this, paler people might want to use a light hand or wear it as a bold lip. And darker skintones can easily pull this off as an everyday colour. But for those in between medium/tanned skin people like me its such a great colour, so very flattering and we can easily go as light or dark as we want. I've seen this on a caucasian and it looked natural on her since caucasians usually have naturally pink lips.

Overall I definitely recommend this lipstick for indian / tanned skins, it will brighten up your complexion so nicely. In the swatches provided the top picture is without flash and the bottom is with flash. The top swipe swatch is how I apply it on my lips for the natural flush/tint and the bottom swatch is actual swipes of the lipstick. Hope this was helpful. X

Hey guys! I'm going to be doing a lipstick review for you today. Its the Revlon colorburst lipstick in Rosy Nude.

 

First off the Revlon packaging for their colorburst lipsticks is lovely! Looks so classy for a drugstore lipstick, the embossed quilted plastic looks great, it is kinda plasticky but it still looks the part! And I like the way they've put the colour of the lipstick on the top of the lipstick too.


Rosy Nude is as the name says a very creamy muted rosy pink colour. With a touch of coral. Its quite a strong and bright colour for the name. But for tanned and dark skins it doesnt appear too bright but more like a rosy nude colour. For me its a pretty mlbb colour, it adds the perfect flush of colour to my lips, pretty and pink. Goes great for when I do an everyday simple look. Its a colour that I can swipe on on it's own without the need for mixing. It leaves my lips looking sooooo pretty, plump and rosy. 

Long time no post! Oops! I've been very busy past couple of weeks, I do apologise for the lack of posts.

Anyway I'm going to review and swatch MACS lipstick in Twig for you. Twig is in the satin range of lipsticks in MAC. Very pigmented and creamy and lasts aaaages. I really like the satin range of lipsticks in MAC, a little goes a looong way. Such good quality.

Twig is a pink with a bit of brown in it. It has a some obvious mauviness to it too, and sometimes I notice a teeny weeny bit of reddish-ness to it. It's almost the same shade of my lips but a tad darker and pinker. It's a very natural pink lip colour on my nc40 - nc42 skin tone and covers my lip pigmentation very well. I've noticed it looks nicer on me when I have foundation on or else it looks a bit garish. I think people above NC35 can pull this off quite well.
From what I've gathered in other reviews on this lipstick colour is that it's classified as a dark colour, but it actually comes out quite light on me. Perhaps it's a dark colour for fairer skin tones but for warmer skin tones its a nice girly MLBB pink. I should mention that the camera quality isn't brilliant but you can tell how dark it looks in the tube compared to my hand swatches.

It's a very pretty colour, very wearable for warmer skin tones, I like it, but it's not a favourite at all, I don't reach for it much as it can look rather odd sometimes, like a little purple or fuchsia and I don't like it when certain pinks do that on me. It's not an in your face colour so its very safe for those out there who like to keep it subtle. Hope this was of help guys. Peace xx
